Coaching shaped by lived experience
I am an endurance athlete, a U.S. Navy Veteran, and a left below-knee amputee. In 2017, a motorcycle accident ended my naval career and required me to completely rebuild my relationship with movement.
Since then, I have spent thousands of miles learning how a body—and a prosthetic—functions under sustained pressure. This included thru-hiking the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail and solo bikepacking 16,000 miles from Alaska to Argentina. I also spent a year in Guatemala providing prosthetic care, helping others navigate their own paths to mobility.
These experiences were more than just personal milestones; they were an education in mechanics, resilience, and risk management. Now, I coach adaptive and non-adaptive athletes to prepare for their own "missions" with a focus on structural integrity and intentional movement.
